ROAD TRIP!!! with pictures

gosh, took me ages just to upload these pics. well prob cos i din resize them. anyhoo, just gotta rubbed it in! road trip was FUN!! hahaha btw, it's gona be a pretty long post if u guys bother reading it

so anyways, we all met up at jean's place on 25th morning. after packing most of our stuff into the respective cars, we stopped by yee ling's to pick her up. food, bags, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, fishing rods, guitars..and everything else needed lah. ;p in total we had 4 cars, and twelve people- 6guys 6girls.

DAY 1

after hanging ard abit at yee ling's.. we finaly left on the trip!! (:(: u have no idea.. i was really excited. lol-ness me and alicia being the light bulbs.- in pats car with tian(u guys arent THAT slow are you? ;p)

the first day we were mainly just on the road, driving along great ocean road all the way to warnambool. we had a few pit stops though on the way there.

stopped by ocean boulevard for lunch! since we were trying to go cheap and convenient, we mostly had sandwiches throughout the trip. nice!

we wanted to have lunch down at the beach bt it was too windy, ended up having lunch at the top.

then after lunch left again.. along great ocean road. we passed by LORNE! hehe din stopped by though. stopped by apollo bay and bought some fruits.

so yeah, we reached warnambool pretty much ard late evening, it was dark already. learnt to set up the tents. we stayed at this caravan park place. there were cabins though, bt we din rent it. had bbqs for dinner. then after that, everyone crammed into one of the tents. i think we managed to cram 10 of us in there bt it was kina uncomfortable BUT i gues everyone wanted to feel cosy. lols. chun, tim and jp took turns playing the guitars and they sang along to them. (well, i didnt cos i din noe most of the songs). great fun though

before leaving warnambool, we all packed up for the hike. seriously learnt quite alot of new stuff abt hiking. like how and what to pack in the bags and all. our bags were really really heavy. BAH.

DAY 2
erm.. we set off somewhere again. hrm.. well the destination was the grampians. stopped by hamilton for lunch. then went off somewhere.. HRM. i think we sorta took the wrong route somewhere along the way. so all four cars stopped along the road.

so yeah, the drivers were having a discussion abt where to go i reckon while a few of us were busy taking pics

i so totally love pENG. well random, that was. but i had heaps of fun. anyhoo, tim wanted a pic in pats vw golf car. (i think thats the right name, not too sure), and tian and jeannie in it as well - and alicia in the back seat playing ds i think XD

finally after a long drive.. reached the grampians at ar 4pm. we were pretty behind on time so instead of the normal plan of hiking up mount..stapylton(stg like that) or was it mount zero..hrm. well anyways, we were suppose to hike up there using one route and then camped there for the night and all. but since we ran late, we camped out in the park instead. well, i suppose thats a realy good thing, considering that we wouldnt have to carry those heavy bags while hiking up the mountain. so instead we just hiked up and down the next day

can u blif it? there were quite a few kangaroos around.. in the wild! amazing rite?? hahaa i think i can be a pretty good paparazzi. hahaha. "sneaked" up and took the pic of the kangaroo.. some more it was posing for me. haha BUT it took off after i tried getting closer. got told off by my frens. lols.

then everyone started unpacking things from the cars and setting up tents for the night. oh, the toilet!! i tell you.. the toilet.. is very "unique". cant flush it ah! through the toilet bowls, the hole was all the way down to the bottom.. looks kinda like a big garbage bin. really deep ones, like longkang except that it was vertical. sooo.. it kinda stinks and we tried not to look into the hole below us. haha

after that.. we went looking for woods! for the campfire.. hehe good job hey? lots of firewoods. hehee

we had marshmallows too.. heated it with the fire.. yummy yummy. ken and chun played the flute abit. we pretty much just talked and stared at the fire the whole time.

DAY 3
woke up at 6am the next morning.. and prepared for the hike and all. finally started the hike at 8 45am after pat gave us a pep talk and taught us how to navigate using the map and compass. haha

so anyways, the 11 of us(jp left) started the hike. we girls very excited to hike - get tigher asses ya noe? lolz. bt i doubt we did though, what more with all the snacks we ate during the car rides. =S

we reached the top.. after abt 3 hours i think. stopped by this cave here, left our bags, and continued up again all the way to the top

so..u cant be that slow.. haha yes im a big mouth. nah tian allowed me to post this up (: tian and pat- awww such a sweet couple. they're like the organisers of the gp. hehe

left for castlemaine in the evening. we've got cabins to sleep in this time!! we pretty much just chilled and relaxed and the next day after wondering ard the town abit we left for melbourne.
